- Cash: Bring enough cash as ATMs might be limited, especially on smaller islands.
- Komodo National Park entrance fees (last updated in April 2024):
– Indonesian citizens: Rp320,000 IDR/person.
– Foreigners: Rp620,000 IDR/person.
– Elderly people and children over 5 years old are required to pay in full.
– Personal expenses such as meals, snacks or drinks outside the package, and souvenirs. There are hawkers in several destinations, such as Pink Beach, Kelor Island, and Komodo
- Is Saving Money or Valuable Items in a Cabin Safe? As far as the boat trip goes, it is safe to carry cash or some valuable Items in the cabin. However, for your safety and comfort, make sure that valuables or cash left in the cabin are safe by locking the bag or suitcase and the room before doing the activities.
- Headset or Ear Muffler: While the ship is sailing, the sound of the engine may be faintly heard in certain areas of the ship, depending on where your cabin is located. To ensure peace of mind during your trip, consider bringing earplugs for your comfort during sleep.
- Snack and Soft Drink: It should be noted that in Komodo National Park, there are no supermarkets or minimarkets (Some luxury ships always provide drinks and snacks ). There are only hawkers selling instant noodles and coffee/tea at quite expensive. For this reason, bring enough snacks or refreshments before visiting Komodo National Park.
- Mobile SIM Card: Telkomsel SIM Card is the largest provider network in Indonesia. Has a wide network including remote areas such as Komodo National Park. You can buy a Telkomsel SIM Card at the airport, or in the Labuan Bajo pier area, or at official Telkomsel outlets.
- Respect Wildlife: Follow guidelines when interacting with Komodo dragons and other wildlife to ensure safety and conservation.
- Obey the rules in Komodo National Park:
– Do not litter
– No fishing allowed.
– Do not touch marine life
– Feeding wild animals is prohibited.
– Camping and bringing fireworks is prohibited.
– It is prohibited to take anything in the Komodo National Park area.
– Smoking is prohibited along the trekking/hiking route.
– It is prohibited to use fins in shallow snorkeling areas.
– It is forbidden to step on coral reefs.
