The Almira My Moon pinisi yacht is a traditional pinisi boat that has had a sailing scheduled around Komodo National Park for 2024. This sailing schedule is divided into some options:

  1. One day sail around.
  2. Shared boat sail called “Open Trip”.
  3.  Private liveaboard option:

2 Days and 1 Night sail

3 Days and 2 Nights sail

4 Days and 3 Nights sail (Call)

About Open Trips (Shared Boat Trip):
An open trip is when a group of people go on holiday together even though they may not know each other in the group. The main benefit is, of course, that costs will be lowered (because they are shared) compared to private trips or when you go on holiday alone.

Flight in/out Information:

  • Arrival: Get a flight ticket arriving before 11.00 am in Labuan Bajo on Friday. Or buy tickets to D-1 before sailing Komodo.
  • Departure: Finish sailing Komodo, you can get a flight ticket on Sunday, 13.00 or H+1 after sailing Komodo.

Open Trip Duration: 3 Days and 2 Nights.

This Komodo shared boat /open trip runs every Friday – Saturday and back on Sunday.

Flight Information:

  • Arrival: Get a flight ticket arriving before 11.00 am, at Labuan Bajo on Friday. Or buy tickets D-1 before Sailing Komodo.
  • Departure: Finish sailing Komodo, you can get a flight ticket on Sunday, 13.00 or H+1 after Sailing Komodo.

Duration: 3 Days and 2 Nights.

This Komodo open trip runs every Friday – Saturday and back on Sunday.

Itinerary.

Day 1.

10.00 – 11.00 Meeting point at Kampung Ujung – Labuan Bajo. At this place, you can buy snacks at the Roxy Mart or Denny’s market in front of the wooden jetty.
11.00 – 11.40 Start sailing to Kelor Island.
11.40 – 13.00 Climb to the top of the hill at Kelor Island. The trekking trip may be a bit rough and steep, we recommend wearing proper shoes, etc.
13.15 – 13.40 Lunch will be served during sailing to Manjarite Island.
14.00 – 15.00 Snorkeling and taking some pictures (underwater activities).
16.00 – 17.00 Sailing to Kalong Rinca.
17.00 – 18.30 Waiting for sunset, free time, and enjoying snacks on the boat while waiting for thousands of bats to appear flying in the sky.
19.00 Dinner time then free time.

Day 2.

05.00 – 07.00 Early wake-up, get ready then climb to Padar Island, chase the sunrise, and take photos of the surroundings.
07.15 – 08.40 Time for breakfast while the boat is heading to Pink Beach.
09.00 – 10.30 Do lots of activities such as snorkeling, taking photos, sunbathing, etc.
10.40 – 11.30 Sail to Komodo Island.
11.30 – 14.00 Adventure trekking at Komodo Island to see the Komodo dragon.
14.15 – 16.30 Sail to Taka Island Makassar and do the same snorkeling activities or take some photos.
16.30 – 18.00 On the other side of Taka Island Makassar, we can immediately move a little to this place to hunt Manta rays. The current may be quite strong, but we provide life jackets (activities have to be worn), and a lifeboat is nearby.
19.00 After all the activities, the boat will sail to Kanawa Island. Dinner will be served during head to Kanawa Island.

Day 3.

07.00 – 09.00 Snorkeling activities are recommended here, underwater taking pictures beside a group of cute colorful fish. Don’t forget to bring your own bread to feed them!
09.40 – Time for breakfast while relaxing.
10.00 Sailing back to Labuan Bajo

Tourist Destination:

Kelor Island

Kelor Island is a small, uninhabited island that is famous for its abundance of beauty, characterized by white sand and rows of charming green hills. The usual activity is trekking. The hill in the middle of the island is quite challenging for trekking, it looks short but requires quite an effort to reach the top. You can reach the top in approximately 1 hour. When you reach the top, it’s guaranteed that you won’t regret it because the view from the top is truly enchanting!

Manjarite Island

Manjarite Island is an uninhabited island, its waters are very suitable for beginner divers. Because the depth of the seawater is only around three to eight meters, you can see various marine biota from above the surface. Of course, it’s more fun if you snorkel here, because you will meet lots of cute sea creatures. You can meet various ornamental fish, various colored corals, dory fish, clown fish, rabbit fish, barracuda, and angel fish!

Kalong Island

Kalong Island in the Komodo National Park area has a special feature because it is home to thousands of bats or very large fruit bats. Therefore, this island is called Kalong Island, which literally means Bat Island.

Kalong Island has a beautiful view, especially at sunset. Visitors can see the stretch of dense mangrove forest that soothes the eyes. In addition, when the sun starts to set, thousands of bats will come out of the island towards the mainland to find food.

Activities: Enjoying the beauty of nature and the uniqueness of the animals that are there, visitors can also learn about the existing ecosystem.

Padar Island

Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park area. Padar Island is not inhabited by Komodo dragons. On Padar Island you can climb the hill to enjoy the beautiful panorama from above. The blue sea and the surrounding islands will hypnotize visitors. Even though trekking to the highest hill will feel very tiring, visitors will be presented with a panoramic view of the hills and very beautiful views, and capturing the moment will be an activity that will never get boring during the trekking trip.

Pink Beach

Pink Beach in Komodo National Park is one of the most famous beaches in Indonesia. This beach is known for its red sand, which is formed from bits of coral and volcanic rock eroded by waves over the years. Red Beach is also famous for its natural underwater beauty, which is very rich with beautiful coral reefs. Activities: Enjoying the sand, snorkeling, and taking stunning pictures.

Komodo Island

Komodo Island is one of the 7 Wonders of the World. One of the main destinations if you go to Labuan Bajo. This island is one of the Komodo National Park areas which is managed by the Central Government. On Komodo Island, there are around 1300 Komodo dragons that continue to breed. Komodo is the largest species of lizard in the world, with an average length of 2-3 meters, and a body weight of at least 90 kg. You can trekking around on this island to see the Komodo dragons. But don’t worry, there will be a Ranger leading your journey to keep you safe!

Taka Makassar

Taka Makassar is one of the very unique destinations in Labuan Bajo. This tiny island only contains charming clusters of fine white sand. Its small, curved shape resembles the number nine, making it even more unique. Moreover, you can only see it if the sea water is receding. You can swim and enjoy the clear sea and take photos at this unique beach.

Manta Point

Manta rays are one of the largest fish species in the world which can be found in the waters of the Komodo National Park, Indonesia. Manta rays have a very large size, can reach up to 7 meters, and weigh up to 2 tons. This fish is characterized by broad wings and is pleasant to look at when swimming in the water. In Indonesian, manta rays are often referred to as Pari Manta.

Activities: Snorkeling/diving to see the manta rays swimming near them. Manta rays in Komodo National Parks are friendly and not afraid of humans, so tourists can enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of these fish safely and comfortably.

Sebayur Island

Sebayur Island has become a popular tourist destination because of its beautiful and amazing underwater scenery. The diverse coral reefs around the island make this location an ideal place for snorkeling/diving. Apart from that, Sebayur Island also has a beautiful beach with clean white sand and clear seawater. The island also has an extensive mangrove forest at the back of the island, which is a great place to see unique biodiversity and ecosystems.

Kanawa Island

Kanawa Island is known for its stunning natural beauty, such as fine white sand, clear turquoise seawater, and beautiful and diverse coral reefs. The wealth of marine life is very interesting, such as sharks, turtles, and various types of ornamental fish. Activities: Snorkeling/diving to enjoy the spectacular underwater beauty.

We guarantee that open trip/shared boat sail will be run even if there is only 1 registrant without changing the price.

KTP/ID or Passport is required for a sailing boat permit as a mandatory requirement from the harbormaster.

Currently, open or shared boat trips are available on weekends only. Friday to Sunday because this is easy to collect the participants (3D and 2N sailing).

The meeting point is located at PELNI Harbor, 10 minutes away from Komodo Airport, all participants will be picked up at their respective places. Pick-up will be ready half an hour before the boat trip sailing.

To join on the Komodo open trip or shared boat tour, you must buy a plane ticket to Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo, Flores, NTT. The majority of planes will transit in Denpasar, Bali, and continue their flight to Labuan Bajo.

The number of participants will be adjusted to the room capacity on the ship. For example more less 12-20 pax.

Tourism boat is always monitored by the authorities. The officers and captain will direct the ship into a safe and wave-free bay for shelter.

It is safe for toddlers to join on the sailing trip. However, during physical activities such as trekking or snorkeling, toddlers can wait on the boat with parental supervision.

You can get a plane ticket that lands at 09.15 on the first day of the trip (the flight from Bali starts at 7 am). The Komodo open trip starts at 10 am. But if you want to relax you can also buy a plane ticket that lands on the day before the open trip sail scheduled. The return tickets can be purchased on the last day of the sailing trip. The participants can take the scheduled flight at 1 am/afternoon flight
